The Humidity Indicator Card (HIC) is a simple yet highly effective tool designed to visually monitor relative humidity (RH) levels inside sealed packaging. Each card features chemically treated indicator spots that change color as humidity increases, allowing users to instantly confirm whether moisture has compromised the integrity of a package.

Widely used in semiconductor industries, HICs are typically placed inside Moisture Barrier Bags (MBB) alongside sensitive components such as wafers, IC chips, MEMS, and reticles. Once sealed, the HIC provides continuous, at-a-glance monitoring of internal conditions.

If humidity levels exceed critical thresholds (10%, 20%, 30% or 40% RH), the indicator spots change color, signaling that the product may require inspection or re-drying.
